Frost gold craft is an ancient sheet metal process, also known as the Florentine craft. The craftsman hits the surface of the platinum with a tool with a diamond on the top, which causes the surface to produce subtle bumps, which are sinuous, especially under the light, giving off a diamond-like effect.
The watch follows the classic design of this series. The 41 mm diameter watch case is made of 18K white gold. The surface is treated with frost gold and the side is polished with a brushed finish.
The octagonal bezel design is a highlight of Audemars Piguet’s Royal Oak. The beveled edges are polished with a polished finish. The grainy texture of the frosted gold and the delicate luster of the metal blend in subtly to create an amazing visual effect.

The Calibre 2385 self-winding movement powers the watch and consists of 304 parts that provide 40 hours of power reserve for the watch.
